Ardell E. Knab

Ardell E. (Hopperdietzel) Knab, 91, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Conrad. She was born December 12, 1927 in Athens, Wisconsin. Ardell married Chester Knab on September 6, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ardell worked as an LPN at the Liberty County Nursing Home for 20 years. She enjoyed both bowling and golf. In her later years she loved to crochet. Ardell’s favorite pastime was playing cards, especially Hand and Foot with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Chester Peter Knab; children, Faith (John) Violett, Linda (Sidney) Bartell, Karen (Richard) Anderson, Mark Knab; grandchildren, Michael and Martin Alley, Michelle Taubenburger, Rachel Pavalonnis, Stephen O’Donnell, Jamie Cory, Carrie and Cole Anderson, Abigail and Sarah Knab; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Dolley, Arlon (Jean) Hopperdietzel, and Emily (Ron) Brindle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillian Hopperdietzel; siblings, Alice Hambert, Nila Raesler, Elva Krombholz, Muriel Berghammer, Gordon Hopperdietzel, and Rosemarie Williams.

Memorial services will be in Spring 2020.
