Betty M. Fuson

March 15, 1930 — October 20, 2016

Betty Fuson, 86, passed away on October 20 at Pondera Medical Center of natural causes.

Memorial services were held Monday, October 24, at First Presbyterian Church, where she had been a lifelong member.  Pastor Kirk Kestler officiated and her special friends provided a wonderful lunch.

Betty was born on March 15, 1930 in Conrad to Albert and Ella Petersen.  She grew up on the family farm East of Conrad.  She married John Henry Fuson and together they raised five children. Betty was a homemaker, a rancher, and a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, beautiful flowers, rocks, and birds.  She loved spending time in her yard and doing “rustic” carpentry.  Betty loved country music, her family, and the Lord.

We will always cherish her warm smile, her kind words, and her generous heart.  Betty had a wonderful sense of humor; laughing that “Tomorrow is my favorite day.” She would copy Sinatra singing, “I did it my way.”

Survivors include children, Ralph (Roma Lee), Kathy, Charlotte (Bill) Fleiner, Julie (Fernando) Rodriguez; brother, Jim; sister, Bonnie; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by parents, Albert and Ella Petersen; husband, John Henry Fuson; son, Gary Fuson; infant daughter, Delia; granddaughter, Shanon Moore; brothers, Robert, William, and Michael Petersen; and sister, Myrtle Petersen.
