Betty Jean Ballinger Norling, 83 of Sunburst, Montana passed away Tues July 22, 2014 in Sterling, Colorado
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 29 at Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the Sunburst Lutheran Church, followed by interment at Sunburst Cemetery.
Betty was born Aug. 21, 1930 to Ralph and Dorothy Peterson Ballinger in Sterling, CO. She attended Sterling schools. On Sept. 7, 1948 she married Jay Norling in Sterling. Betty was a cook in the public school system.
Jay and Betty lived in Sunburst, MT. Jay passed away in 2003 and in 2008 Betty moved to Sterling. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Betty is survived by daughter Sharon L. Ogley of Merino, CO; son Robert Norling of Sunburst, MT; brother Robert (Norma) Ballinger of Austin, TX; grandchildren Shelley (Jess) Samsal, Michael (Stacie) Smith and Stan (Cheryl) Ogley; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jaydeen, son Albert in 1999, grandchildren William and Jay, son-in-law Spike Ogley and daughter-in-law Evelyn in 1999.
