In loving memory of Bob Lytle, 87, who passed away on May 2, 2024. Born on October 30, 1936, on the legendary Lytle Ranch along the Milk River, Bob lived a life as rugged and spirited as the land he called home.
Bob's roots ran deep in the saddle, growing up amidst the vast expanse of his family's ranch. Alongside his beloved wife Lorna and their son Jay Bob, he cherished every moment spent tending to the land and cattle they held dear.
Education beckoned beyond the ranch gates, leading Bob to the Western Military Academy in Illinois after attending a country school near home. His adventurous spirit eventually led him to the Naval reserves, where he honed his skills in San Diego.
But it was the call of the rodeo that truly captured Bob's heart. From the Rising Wolf Dude Ranch, where he brought home his first trophy, to the dusty arenas of the northwest rodeo circuit, Bob's prowess as a cowboy was unmatched. Whether it was calf roping, team roping, or even a bit of steer wrestling, Bob was a triple threat whose name echoed from Canada to the heartlands.
After 50 years in the arena, Bob returned to the ranch he loved, where he raised his family and cemented the Lytle name as a legend in the rodeo world. His legacy lives on in the stories told around campfires and the echoes of hooves on the open range.
Bob is survived by his wife Lorna Lytle, Son, Jay (Fonda) Lytle, Grand Kids, Taylissa Lytle, Taylen Lytle (Marselina), (Tiras, Tzipporah, Talladega), Jaylene Stokes (Vincent)

Rest easy, cowboy. Your spirit rides on forever in the windswept plains and the hearts of those who loved you.
