Robert Charles Sheeler, loving husband, devoted father, & long-time mechanic, went to be with the Lord August 12, 2020 approximately 11:40 a.m.
Bob was born in Keuterville, Idaho on November 25, 1935. He attended school in Sultan, Washington. Bob married Dorene Kaiser from Sultan, Washington on June 7, 1954 and
they had four children.
Bob worked many jobs over the years. In the fifties & sixties was a machinist at Boeing in Renton, WA, along with his brother, Jack, owned & operated a gas station/auto repair and towing business, and raced dirt track stock cars. Bob was also a lifelong Brotherhood of Elks member.
In 1974 he moved to Pendroy from Marysville, WA where he and Dorene owned and operated Sheeler & Son Enterprises and the Rose Room restaurant & bar, until his death.
Bob was an active member of the Pendroy Volunteer Fire & Rescue from 1975-2015, as a parental supporter in local school sports and school board member, and member of the Pendroy Church congregation.
He enjoyed mowing the lawn in the Pendroy Park and the Pendroy Community Church.
He was a Man of few words, but when he spoke, we all listened.
He is survived by his wife, Dorene of Pendroy; brother, Jack (Donna) Sheeler of Everett, WA; sisters, Irene Ayling of Marysville, WA and Dorothy Granlund of Cascade; son, Charles Sheeler, US Navy(Ret) 0S1 (Katy) of Tigard, OR. And Tracy (Christy) Sheeler of Conrad; daughter, Myldred (Dave) Stine of Three Forks; daughter-in-law, Suzie Sheeler of Bremerton, WA; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces; as well as so many wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Estelle Sheeler; sisters, Norma Grabofsky and Francis Frazier; son, Daniel Sheeler; and great-grandson, Taylor Campbell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pendroy Volunteer Fire & Rescue Hall on August 22, from 4 pm to 7 pm.
