Bridget Cline, a dedicated preschool teacher who touched the lives of countless young learners, passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 60. Born on March 11, 1963, in Washington, D.C., to her parents Harold Dougherty and Edna Burke, Bridget’s life was a testament to love, education, and nurturing.
Bridget met the love of her life, Jeff Cline, in San Diego California, after being introduced through Bridget’s “adopted” family, Connie and Larry Modlin. On September 24th, 1983, they began their journey into marriage.
Together, Bridget and Jeff were blessed with four sons: Josh, Ricky, Nick, and Zac. Bridget poured her heart and soul into raising and nurturing her boys, instilling in them values of love, kindness, and a thirst for knowledge.
For an incredible 30 years, Bridget devoted herself to teaching preschool children. Her passion for education and her boundless patience endeared her to both her students and their parents. Her dedication to her career included achieving her bachelor’s degree in education with honors, from the University of Montana Western. She created a warm and welcoming environment where every child felt valued and cherished.
Outside the classroom, Bridget found solace and joy in two cherished hobbies: reading and gardening. Her love for books inspired many young minds, and her garden bloomed with the same care and attention she gave to her family and students.
Bridget is survived by her loving sons: Ricky (David) Cline-Goward, Nick Cline (Kaci Fox), and Zac Cline. Though she has left this world, her memory and the lessons she imparted will live on through them.
Bridget was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harold Dougherty and Edna Burke, her husband Jeff Cline, her sister Sue, and her son Josh Cline. As she joins her loved ones in eternal rest, may her spirit continue to nurture and educate, just as she did in life.
