Bruce Lavern Kinyon, 57, of Galata, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on October 31, 2020 after a short battle with Glioblastoma cancer.
Bruce was born in Shelby on January 22, 1963 to H. Lavern and Judy Kinyon. He graduated from Shelby High School in 1982. He earned an Associate's degree in Diesel Mechanics from Helena College of Technology in 1985.
Bruce worked for his cousin Barry Kinyon in the summers farming from 1978-1990. In 1990 he was hired at Snyder's Dent Shop in Chester where he worked as an auto-body technician for almost thirty years.
On March 9, 1985 Bruce married the love of his life, Ramona Nickol. They were blessed with two children, Bryant and Emily. He enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working and restoring classic cars. He was a jack of all trades and was always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the project.
In 2017 Bruce achieved his life-long dream of buying the family farm with Ramona and Emily. He loved to teach his grandson, Ryder, all about farming.
Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Judy Kinyon; and his father- in-law, John Nickol. He was survived by his father, Lavern (Dorothy) Kinyon; his beloved wife of 35 years, Ramona; son, Bryant (Jessica); daughter, Emily; grandson, Ryder; his siblings, Ronald (Kelly) Kinyon, Patricia (Kevin) Durocher; Lynette (Martin) Gaither; Tracy (Bonnie) Kinyon; and many nieces and nephews.
