Buster A. Harrison, 74, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Cut Bank, Montana. He was born on May 11, 1950, in Billings, Montana, to Ruel and Irene Harrison.
Buster grew up in Cut Bank, where he attended school before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he met the love of his life, Lynda, and they were married on March 1, 1974, in Cut Bank. They shared 51 wonderful years together.
Buster built a strong and hardworking career, spending 25 years as an operator in the oil fields with Taylor Well Service and Glacier Well Service. Later, he found joy in driving a school bus for the Cut Bank School District, dedicating 15 years to safely transporting students and making lasting connections in the community.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Ruel and Irene Harrison; brothers, Richard and Roger Harrison; sister, baby Angela; and his beloved nephews, Larry Carrier, Kris Harrison, and Cory Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Harrison; children, Devlyn (Candy) Harrison and Lisa Zahn; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; brother, Raymond Harrison; sisters, Judy Hebertson, Pat (Dave) Ryan, Mary Rue, and Cindy Cox; and numerous nephews and a niece who held a special place in his heart, including Robert, Doug, David, Rick, Royce, Brandon, Wade, Sean, and Barby.
Buster will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his years of service to both his country and community, and the kindness he extended to those around him. His legacy of love and hard work will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
A service to honor Buster’s life will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on June 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Quailwings Rescue.
