Shelby

Carol Jane Garner was born February 7, 1944 in Morris, OK to Lawrence and Celia Ezell, she was number six of seven children. Carol’s family moved to Escondido, CA when she was in grade school. She married Ronald Conley and was blessed with 3 children, Ronald, Rhonda and Rebecca. After they divorced, she married Harold Jennings and was blessed again with Joel and Josie. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and worked on the family worm farm for a while.

After her divorce from Harold in 1982 she married William Garner and moved to Canada. She spent her time being a farm wife, following her kids in their activities and spending time with her grandkids when they would come to visit.

In 1991 they moved to Cut Bank to be closer to her family. There Carol worked at the Northern Motor Inn. She retired in 2010 and moved to Shelby where she lived until her peaceful passing.

Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. If you ask anyone a memory of Carol it would for sure include her sisters and their love of singing the old country songs!

Survivors include her sisters, Verna Baughman and Wilma (Bill) Schock; children, Ronald (Lisa) Conley of Valley Center, CA, Rhonda (Barry) Aikins of Cut Bank, Rebecca (Mike) Winney of Shelby, Joel (Kristi) Jennings of Turner Valley, Alberta and Josie (Jack) Johannes of Shelby; 19 grandkids, 22 great grandkids; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Lane, June Alfson & Shirley Malloy; and brother Lawrence Ezell.

A graveside service is planned for 1 pm on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank followed by a small reception at the Aikins’ residents.
