Chantel Alan Vasquez, 19, died December 7, 2011 at Cut Bank, Montana. Private funeral services were conducted Monday at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby; her final resting place will be on the family in ranch in Babb, Montana.
Chantel was born May 16, 1992 at Browning, Montana; she had resided in the Browning, Lewistown and Cut Bank areas, working for the J.C. Penney Company in Cut Bank at the time of her death. Her favorite things to do were to spend time with Jeremy, family, hiking in the mountains and hugging trees. She enjoyed her cat Zoidberg and loved all kinds of animals. Chantel enjoyed her many friends with a wonderful sense of humor; her laughter brought joy to everyone. Her eyes were very expressive and smiled only the way Chantelley could.
She is survived by her grandmothers, Patricia Smith and Helen Smith of St. Mary’s, Mt.; her mother, Sandra A. Logan and step-father Lawrence K. Logan, both of Lewistown, MT; her father, Larry Vasquez of St. Mary’s, MT; siblings Catina A. Vasquez of St. Mary’s and Levi G. Logan of Lewistown; her significant other Jeremy Blankenship of Cut Bank, MT; a nephew Gabryl Whyte Wolf Vasquez and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
