Charles 'Chuck' Moore

March 8, 1935 — May 19, 2013

Charles E ‘Chuck’ Moore, 78, a retired truck driver from Shelby, passed away May 19, 2013 at the local hospital from leukemia.  Funeral services are set for Saturday, May 25, at 4:00 pm at New Life Community Church.  Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday from 1:00 until 7:00 pm with family receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Whitted Funeral Chapel.

Chuck was born May 8, 1935 at Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan to Lemuel Edward and Nettie (Nicherson) Moore.  He attended school at the Matchee Elementary through the 8 th grade.  Chuck entered the Army in 1952 during the Korean Conflict.

He is a member of New Life Community Church and a member of the Moose Lodge since 1987.  Chuck enjoyed collecting baseball caps.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Sharon ; children, Shari (Jim) Martin of Lewistown, Sandy Wells of Cheyenne, WY, and Robert Rossiter of Elephant Butte, NM; step-children, Brenda (Donn) Alexander of Shelby, Garret (Melissa)  Hodges and Jeff (Tammy) Hodges both of Nampa, ID;  as well as 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by sisters, Leona Hobson, Margarette (Art) Pottie and Clara Nordell.  Chuck was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Melford, Wayne and John; and sister, Joyce.
