Cherilyn Marie “Sis” Gray, Aapaitsaan (Medicine Weasel), 39 of Riverview, Florida passed away on June 29, 2021, at Tampa General Hospital. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Gastric cancer in August of 2020, and she fought a long hard battle and never let it get her down.
Cherilyn was born December 8, 1981, in Browning to Clifford and Toni Pemberton Gray. She was an enrolled member of the Little Shell band of Chippewa and descendant of the Blackfeet Tribe, raised on the Blackfeet Reservation. She attended schools in Browning and Clearfield Job Corps in Utah. She was a manager of several Circle K stores.
Cherilyn met Abraham Blea at Clearfield Job Corps in 1999 and they were married June 18,2003. Together they had 3 children, Aubrey, Kiara, and Isaac, whom they raised in Denver, Colorado. Cherilyn liked to bead, especially dream catchers for her family, camp, and fish.
She is survived by her husband, Abraham Blea; her children, Aubrey Blea, Kiara Blea, and Isaac Blea; her parents, Clifford and Toni Gray, her father-in-Law Salvador Blea; her Auntie/Mom Barb Harwood; her brother, Michael Last Star; her sisters, Carolyn Gray, Tommi Gray and Jennifer Harwood; numerous aunts uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Alma Pemberton; her paternal grandparents, Tommy and Madeline Gray; her brothers, Jody Last Star, Charlie Pemberton, Devin and Michael D. Gray; and her uncles, Ken Flamand and Bob Gray.
Wake begins July 11, 2021, at Barb and Jeff Harwood’s residence, 124 Arrowtopknot Road. Rosary will be Tuesday, July 13 at 7 p.m. and funeral service will be Wednesday, July 14 at 3 p.m. All services at Harwood’s residence.
