Constance Sue was born April 23, 1950 in Great Falls to Robert and Elizabeth Wilson, being the fifth of six children. On December 17, 2024 Connie passed away at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
Connie attended school in Great Falls and in 1977, she moved to Shelby, where she worked as a waitress until she retired in 2016.
Connie loved being a waitress, and her cantankerous personality was what her customers knew her for. She treated her regular customers as family and this is how she met the love of her life, Michael Kimmet. They married in 2007.
Connie found enjoyment in taking care of her house plants, and looked forward to the spring when she could work in her yard, planting over 200 petunias a year and ensuring the grass was mowed in the right direction.
Connie looked forward to the holiday season, especially because she took joy in cooking for her family, always preparing way too much food, enough to feed a small army. She took pride in decorating for Christmas; from putting her Nativity scene in the front yard to her treasured Santas around the house
Connie enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities, making sure she had their favorite treat. Many kids thought of her as their bonus grandma. Becoming a great grandma brightened her days and gave her more reason to keep fighting.
Constance is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Barbara (Dennis) Dickhaut of Missoula, Charles (Jennifer) DeLacey of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert DeLacey of Dunkirk, Marie (Brian) Hoffman of Cut Bank, Crystal (Dusty) Freeman of Shelby, Patrick Kimmet of Shelby, Tom Englehart of North Platte, NE, and Tim Gustafson of Reno, NV; a sister, Margaret Bourge of Great Falls; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Constance is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bobby Wilson and Larry Tessman; sisters, Laura Green and Mary Warner; and grandson, Briton Bunnell.
