Curtis James Conant, 25, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. He was born on November 18, 1999, in Shelby, Montana, to Cory Conant and Jill Conant.
A proud graduate of Shelby High School, Class of 2018, Curtis went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Montana Tech in 2021. After college, he moved to Missoula and began his career with Hayden Beverage before returning home to Shelby to work at Edward Jones, where he continued to build meaningful relationships in his community.
During high school, Curtis was a dedicated athlete, playing both football and golf. As a senior, he led the Shelby Coyotes as a team captain to the Class B State Championship. He was honored to play in the Class B All-Star Game and was also crowned Homecoming King—just a few of the many ways he left his mark on the school and his classmates.
Curtis had a vibrant personality and a heart full of love. He was a passionate Bills Mafia fan, a talented cook, and someone who found joy in music, golf, and playing marbles with his beloved Gramps and Grams. More than anything, Curtis cherished time spent with family and friends. His infectious laugh, warm hugs, and ever-present smile made everyone feel special and loved. He especially adored his nieces and nephew, who brought him endless joy.
Curtis is survived by his loving parents, Jill Conant and Cory Conant; his brother, Jacob Conant (Kelli); his sister, Jenna Becker (Tim); nieces Lauren and Leytan Becker; nephew Lincoln Becker; maternal grandparents Jack and Jeanne Stokes; paternal grandparents Joe and Dolly Cline; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were brightened by his presence.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Shelby High School gymnasium—a place full of memories and love, just like Curtis.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
