JOHN DAVID “DAVE” WITHERS
Dave Withers, age 73, of Cut Bank, passed away from cancer on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Visitation and viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Whitted Funeral Chapel, located at 130 6 th Ave S.E. in Cut Bank on Saturday, January 10, 2015. At 2:00 p.m., a funeral service will be held at the Cut Bank Elk’s Club located at 18 S Central Ave. in Cut Bank. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Whitted Funeral Chapel was entrusted with the care of the final arrangements.
Dave was born in Cut Bank, MT on December 10, 1941. He was the 2 nd child of John and Norma Withers. He was raised and educated in Cut Bank, graduating from CBHS in 1960. After graduating, he began working for various oil field companies and employers in and around Cut Bank. In 1980, he started and owned Glacier Well Service. In 2011, after over 50 years of working in the oilfield, Dave sold his business and retired. Dave was a member of the Cut Bank Golf Course and the Cut Bank Elk’s Club.
Dave is survived by his wife Pam, of Cut Bank, his son Doug (Judy) of Magnolia, TX, his daughter Amber Cockerham and her children Wyatt and Savannah of Valdez, AK, his 2 step sons Coley (Lindsey) Armstrong of Mountlake Terrace, WA, and Jacob Armstrong of Whitefish, MT, his step daughter Michelle (Brian) Harrell and her children Evan, Hayden, and Addisyn of Cut Bank, and his half-brother Gene (Michaela) Freed of Lewistown, MT.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his son Keith, his sister and brother-in-law Chuck and Peggy Dallum.
A memorial service was held in Scottdale, AZ on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Heritage Funeral Chapel was entrusted with this service.
