David Jerome Schnee

D.J. Schnee, Jr., 63, passed away at his home in Shelby in the early morning hours of February 1, 2016.  He was born on September 19, 1952 in Wolf Point, Montana to Helen Jacquemart Schnee and David Jerome Schnee, Sr.  D.J. called Shelby home almost all of his life.

We will celebrate D.J.’s life at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, in Shelby at Whitted Funeral Chapel who is handling arrangements and caring for his family.

Known as “Grumpy” by all who loved him, D.J. always enjoyed fishing, telling bad jokes, and watching his lifelong favorite Miami Dolphins play on Sunday afternoons.

D.J. is survived by his estranged wife, Giselle Schnee, his mother, Helen Schnee, brother, Gregg (Debra) Schnee, sister Kim (Randy) Ruff, brother Tim (Lisa) Schnee, and brother Todd (Theresa) Schnee.  Jerry also had many nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews. His family and his many friends will always love him and will miss him dearly.

D.J. was preceded in death by his father, David J. Schnee, Sr. and his twin sister, Terry, who passed away when she was only a few days old.

Later this spring, Jerry’s ashes will be distributed in his favorite places at a family gathering.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
