David A Wurz

David A. Wurz, 83, of Horizon Colony near Cut Bank, died Tuesday May 7 at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls.  Funeral services and burial will be at Horizon Colony.  Born February 7, 1930 at Elm Spring Colony near Warner, Alberta, he moved to Sunnysite Colony with his family in 1935 and later on to Hillside Colony near Sweet Grass, Montana in 1951. He married Katie J. Waldner June 4, 1952.  He had been a carpenter and broom maker until the time of his retirement.  He moved to Horizon Colony in 2012 where he had since made his home.

Survivors include his sons, John (Anna) Wurz and Andy (Rebecca) Wurz, all of Horizon Colony; brothers John of Eagle Creek Colony; Joseph of Rim Rock Colony; Peter of Hillside Colony and Paul of Horizon Colony; a grandson Andy and granddaughters Dora, Lisa, Katie, Amanda, Judy, Berta and Leona; and 4 great grandchildren.  Preceding him in death were his wife Katie; son Dave Wurz; brothers Mike, Andrew and Jake; and sisters Susie, Elisabeth and Rachel.
