Debra (Debbie) Ann Rossmiller Pugh was born March 2, 1955 to Duard and Deloris Rossmiller in Great Falls, MT. Her dad's family farmed on the Bootlegger trail East of Brady, her dad and his father Elmer got into the oil business later. Her family moved to Oilmont, MT where she attended elementary and middle school, she then graduated from Sunburst High School in 1973, being a small school, had many friends and classmates. Debbie worked as a nurse's aide after high school at the old Shelby hospital (now Heritage Center). After working there for a few years, considered going to nursing school but ended up working for her dad in his office, what started to be temporary ended up many years. After her dad died she went back to work at the new Shelby hospital (now Logan) in Medical Records, then Physical Therapy, she enjoyed many of her co-workers and friends there.
In 1977 a strange wind brought a new DJ to KSEN by the name of Mark Pugh and their lives were never the same. They started going out July 31, 1977 and were married February 14, 1978. They met on Main St in front of the Sports Club where she told him she hated him because he was being a jerk about playing a favorite song of hers. He relented and played it and eventually gave her the record. Their love of music and sense of humor carried them far and they saved about every greeting card they got for each other. They saw over 35 live concerts together over the years many of them at the Great Falls State Fair which is always at the end of July. They also tried to go over the Going to the Sun highway in Glacier Park at least once a year, the park being a special place. They moved to Conrad for a year in 1983, then back to Shelby, back to Conrad in 2013 then back to Shelby in 2017 for Mark's work. Debbie became disabled in 2005 not able to get around very well due to medical conditions. Mark retired in 2019 so they could spend more time together. Debbie's health started declining in 2023 starting with heart surgery in December. She passed away suddenly early August 13.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; 2 fur babies; and 1 brother, Robert and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 unborn/unnamed children, her dad and mom, sister Deanna, brothers Duane, Albert, and Jerry, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
