Delores Ann Pogreba, 72, a retired day care provider from Shelby, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at her home due to breast cancer. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Whitted Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are 1:00 PM, Saturday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church.
Survivors include her mother, Gladys Nyberg of Great Falls; sons, Jeff Olson of Las Vegas, NV. and Jay (Jenell) Pogreba of Conrad; the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Kantor and Zoey Pogreba; sister, Gloria (Jack) Keller of Great Falls; brothers, Bobby Olson of Dillon and Gary (Lucy) Olson of Newport News, Virginia; special friend, Catherine Snyder & family.
She is preceded in death by her father Orvin Olson; husband, Bud Pogreba and brother, Orlean Olson
She was born September 4, 1940 at Langdon, ND to Orvin & Gladys (Knutsen) Olson and raised and educated in Shelby. She married Robert (Bud) Pogreba February 1, 1974 at Great Falls.
Over the years Delores had worked as a waitress at the Sports Club and Evans Supper Club, but best known for being a day care provider for over 33 years.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, camping and traveling.
In honor of breast cancer awareness, all are encouraged (but not required) to wear pink to service.
