Dolores Grace Wittmier

 Dolores Grace (Sanders) Wittmier, 89, passed on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born on January 8, 1935 in Conrad to Jim and Evelyn Sanders. She was raised in the Manson area attending Manson School through the eighth grade and attended Conrad High School graduating in 1954. On April 17, 1955 Dolores married Allen Wittmier.

In 1961 Dolores and Allen moved to Washington living in Tacoma and Puyallup. They returned to Conrad in 1965 where they ran the Exxon Service Station for many years.

Dolores was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Conrad, the Conrad Rainbow Assembly, and a 62 year member of Victory Chapter #86, OES.

She enjoyed sewing and made many wonderful quilts, aprons, potholders, and other things. Dolores is survived by her husband of 69 years, Allen; her children, Karla Wittmier of Conrad, Janet Wittmier of Billings, Elin (Kenn) Hohman of Conrad, and Matthew (Pamela) Wittmier of Conrad; seven grandchildren, Brittnee, Sara (Jonathan) Thiebaud, Michaela, Annabell, Cordell, Asa, and Ethan; and three great-grandchildren, Grace, Shale, and Opal; brothers, Richard Sanders of Conrad and William (Dana) Sanders of Chandler, AZ; sister, Patricia (Bernard) Ries of Conrad; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Evelyn; brother, Kenneth; and nephew, Shawn.

 Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, August 15, at 11:OOam at the First Presbyterian Church, 123 4" Avenue South, Conrad.

 In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Great Falls Rescue Mission, St. Jude's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
