Donald James Peterson

Donald James Peterson of Cut Bank died at home of natural causes on October 11.
At his request, cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank. Arrangements entrusted to Whitted Funeral Chapel.
Don was born May 5, 1932 in Beebe, Arkansas to Frank and Clara Peterson. He was the youngest of eleven kids. He attended schools in Arkansas, California and Shelby, MT.
Don enjoyed rodeos, in which he team roped, bulldogged and rode some broncs in his earlier years. He looked forward to his yearly deer hunt and hunted just a few years ago.
Don worked numerous jobs throughout his life which included ranching, oilfield and Alme Construction until retirement.
Don married Mary Lois Judisch and to this union his son Dean was born. They later divorced and Don married Rae Jean Pierson. With this union his son Donald was born.
Don is survived by his wife Rae Jean; sons Dean (Becky) Peterson and Donnie Peterson; stepchildren Mike (Joyce) Hess, Kathy (Jim) Lea, Dan Hess, Ray (Rita) Hess and Karen Merzlak; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clara Peterson; his sisters Ellen, Catherine, Shirley, Nellie, Edna, Erma, Margaret and Fran; and a brother, Dwight.
