Donna Schweitzer peacefully passed away on December 14, 2023, in Great Falls, Montana. She was 80 years old. Donna was born on January 31, 1943, in Anchorage, Alaska, and grew up surrounded by the breathtaking of the Last Frontier. Throughout her life, Donna had many adventures and experiences. She retired to the idyllic locations of Hawaii and finally Hingham, Montana. free spirit led her to embrace the serenity of both coastal paradise and rural tranquility.
She had a profound passion for fishing—a pastime that allowed her to connect with nature and find solace in its peacefulness. Casting her line into calm waters brought Donna great joy and contentment.
However, there was one aspect of Donna's life that truly evoked her warmest smile—the love she had for her dogs. Her faithful companions were more than pets; they were cherished family members who brought endless happiness into her home.
Her remarkable journey may have come to an end, but Donna's memory lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her loving sons, Ken (Barbara Martin) and Ron, who will forever cherish the beautiful memories they created together as a family. Donna also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren who will carry forward the lessons she taught them about kindness and compassion. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward.
A Funeral Service to honor Donna's life will take place on December 27, 2023, at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Hingham, Montana. The service will commence at 10:00 AM.
