Donna Marie (Meech) Welker

Donna M. Welker, 78, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at her home in Essex. Donna was born in the Shelby Hospital on December 03, 1944 to Ruby and Wiley Meech. Her family moved from the farm in West Butte to Shelby in 1957, when her parents bought the Shelby Motel. After graduating from Shelby High School, she attended Beauty School in Great Falls. Jerry and Donna married in 1965 and had two sons, Gregory and Bruce. Donna was a licensed beautician for over 55 years, working in Montana, Idaho, and Arizona.

She loved to read and do jigsaw puzzles or word searches on her iPad. She enjoyed staying in touch with friends and family on Facebook.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two sons, Gregory and Bruce; her brother, Bill Meech; three grandchildren, Allen Welker, Shonie Welker-Lawson and Jaycee Welker; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is scheduled for April 29th, 2023 at 2:00pm in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 222 2nd St Shelby, Montana.
