Doris (Erickson) Weisgram passed away August 13th at Logan Health Care Center. She was born February 9th 1929 in Osakis MN.
Doris and Laverne, the love of her life, were married October 1st 1946 at St. Nichols parsonage, Belle River, MN. They moved to Montana in 1950.
She lived her life with love of faith and family with LaVerne, her 9 children, 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren.
Doris loved her time working at Moons Café and would say so many “laughs”, then working at Pondera Nursing Home in the kitchen where she took pride in making homemade meals enjoyed by the residents.
No one ever met Doris who didn’t love her and respected her for her kindness, beauty, love, and compassion she showed and lessons of life she taught to many. She lived her life by the example of her faith.
Her children’s friends all loved Doris’s home, her cinnamon rolls, and the love she gave to them.
She is survived by her brother, Mark Erickson; children, Deanna Schultz, Laverne (Diana) Weisgram, Laurie (Don) Tischer, Jeannie (Tim) Hamann, Pam Doheny, Donna Tischer, Teresa (Rick) Killough, Neil (Jodie) Weisgram, and Veronica (Rob)Wardlow; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Alice (Simmons) Erickson; husband, LaVerne; sisters, Marian, Evelyn, and Delores; brothers, Gordon and Allen; grandchildren, Jamie Tischer and Linda Schultz; and sons-in-law, Jim Schultz and John Doheny.
