Duane Peterson
September 14, 1940 — July 2, 2016
Duane “Lefty” Peterson, 75, passed away July 2, 2016 at the Glacier County Care Center in Cut Bank.
Duane was born in Conrad on September 14, 1940. He graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1958. On July 6, 1963 he married Virginia Rossum Peterson and they made their home in Cut Bank. Two sons were born to this marriage; Gary Duane and Dale Curtis. He had one grandson, Dainian Peterson.
Duane worked in the oilfield and for Phillips Petroleum until his retirement. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling, golf, and playing bingo. He loved to visit and always told a good story.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 8, at 1:00 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at 2:30pm at Cut Bank Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; sons; grandson; brother, Jim (Paula) Peterson; sister, Colleen Murphy; and several special nieces and nephews.
