Eddie Swenson

Ralph Edward Swensen passed away December 2 ,2017 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. He was born December 6, 1953 in Cut Bank to Ralph “Tuffy” and Marian Swensen.

Raised on the family farm north of Cut Bank, Eddie attended Red River School, Sunburst Elementary, and graduated from NTCHS in Sunburst.  He spent his early years working on the family farm leaving to work for area ranchers. He spent the last twenty-five years working for Glacier Motors in Cut Bank.

Eddie enjoyed Montana History and Charlie Russell being a favorite subject.  Favorite stories often recalled trailing cattle with Raymond and Bertha Jacobsen and crew on their spring and fall cattle drives from North of Cut Bank to North of Browning.  Eddie enjoyed raising raspberries and would share his crop with friends.

Eddie is survived  by  his sisters Cecelia Swensen and nephew William Allen,  Rod and Marilyn Perry and niece Kyle and Jana Barrington, and  Anita Swensen.   His family at Glacier Motors and The Cut Bank Moose Lodge.

Memorial service will be held January 6, 2018 at The Cut Bank Moose Lodge at 2p.m with lunch to follow.
