Edgardo Luis Gierbolini “G”, 69 years of age, of Cut Bank Montana, passed away on Feb. 5th,2025 peacefully in his home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 15th ,2025 at Whitted Funeral Chapel 130 6th Ave SE, Cut Bank, Mt 59427. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial with military honors will follow the service at Crown Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Parkview Senior Citizen’s Center 715 E. Main Street, Cut Bank, Mt 59427. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Asper Funeral Homes.

 “G” was born in New York, NY on April 13. 1955 to Francisco Luis Gierbolini and Nelida Vasquez. He graduated from Sarriera High School and went to college for a short period of time, but found himself answering his calling to the Marine Corps.

“G” was married to Debra Novak on June 4, 2004; they were married for 21 years.

“G” spent 22 years in the Marine Corps before retiring from active duty with the rank of GySGT, having served in air traffic control and force recon. He then spent time in Tennessee as a law enforcement officer and later went into corrections. He was a reserve police officer for the Cut Bank Police Department, after retiring he studied at two gunsmithing schools, and worked as a gunsmith for 19 years. He spent years training in various Martial Arts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, skiing, and teaching adult gun safety classes. He had a passion for teaching and never missed an opportunity to turn any situation into a teachable moment. He was an avid student of history, and a voracious reader, always researching, and learning new things. His favorite things were guns, knives, flashlights, westerns, utilizing his sharp wit, discovering new fun gadgets, and sharing stories of his life with his family.

Survivors include Debra Gierbolini (spouse); Melody (JR) Cowan (daughter); Edgar Gierbolini (son); Nick Gierbolini (son); Brenon (Whitney Fultz) Cowan (grandson); Kaylee Cowan (granddaughter); Aiden (grandson); Andre Gierbolini (grandson); Adrian Gierbolini (grandson); Alex Gierbolini (grandson); Caius Cowan (great grandson); Hudson Cowan (great grandson); Evelyn Gierbolini (sister); Edgardo Schaeffer (nephew); Daniel Martinez (nephew); Adrian Veiglie (nephew).

“G” is preceded in death by Francisco Luis Gierbolini (father) and Nelida Vasquez (mother).
