Elizabeth (Crumley) McGovern

Elizabeth Irene McGovern died September 22, 2014 at the Glacier Care Center in Cut Bank from COPD.

She was born October 6, 1933 in Sunburst, Montana.  The daughter of Everett and Ione Crumley, she attended school in Cut Bank, graduating from Cut Bank High School in 1951.  In November 1951 she married James McGovern in Cut Bank and together they raised three children-Jim (Marie) Salem, Oregon, Alan from Cut Bank and Alice of Cut Bank.  During her life she worked as a CNA at Glacier County Hospital for several years after starting as a candy striper volunteer there.  She was also a Cub Scout den mother in the 1960’s and taught catechism at St. Margaret’s for many years to many children.  She was a longtime member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother Bob and many extended family members.  May God be with you.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 25 followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm, both at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Cut Bank.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Friday, September 26, also at St. Margaret followed by interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
