Elizabeth Wurz
November 23, 1926 — May 31, 2013
Elizabeth J Wurz, 86, a retired teacher passed away at her home at the Zenith Hutterite Colony on Friday, May 31, 2013 from cancer. Services are set for Monday, June 3, 2013 at 12 noon with burial to follow in the Zenith Colony Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born November 23, 1926 to Jacob and Susanna (Entz) Wurz in Mitchell, South Dakota. She then moved to Elmspring Colony, Alberta in 1929; then later to Glacier Colony, Cut Bank in 1951; and finally to Zenith Colony in August 2011.
She loved to read scripture and sing hymns. In her spare time she like knitting and sewing which she was good at. She also did a lot of gardening. Elizabeth was a kindergarten teacher for 14 years.
Survivors are sisters, Katie Wurz and Rebecca (Jacob) Walder both of Zenith Colony; brothers, Joseph (Rebecca) Wurz of Zenith Colony, Paul (Elizabeth) Wurz of Cascade Colony; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Susie; and brothers, Jacob, Andrew and Peter.
