Evelyn Florence Attwood

 Evelyn Florence (Peterson)Attwood,86, passed away in Cutbank, MT. on Monday, January 20, 2025 of congestive heart failure. The funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 2nd, at 1:00 pm. at Babb Methodist Church followed by a potluck meal.

 Evelyn was born August 30, 1938, in Browning, MT to George & Eliza (Flammond) Peterson. She was raised on Moccasin Flat in Babb along with her 9 other siblings. Her mother passed away giving birth to the youngest daughter, leaving Evelyn to help her sister with the younger siblings in the household.

 She attended school in Browning and later attended a college, Cook Native American Ministry Foundation in Tempe, AZ. That would lead to officiating over wedding and funerals but also to fill in often as a pastor at the Babb Methodist Church. Evelyn met and married Elmer “Dusty” Feathers, they went on to have 5 children. Son’s; David, Randy, Greg & Alan and daughter Treasa. They had moved to Indiana and she continued living in Indiana after her divorce where she met & married Bob Attwood. They later moved to Montana together in the early 80’s.

 Since returning to Montana. She’s worked as a cook for North Fork Cattle Company, Suzie’s Restaurant and the summers in Glacier National Park.

 Evelyn loved gardening and had a fantastic green thumb with everything she touched. She’s also mended many plants over the years back to health. She loved to crochet during her down time and would love teaching the younger generation how to make blankets and pillows.

 She is survived by her 3 remaining sons, Randy, Greg, and Alan; one daughter, Treasa Feathers; 4 grandkids, Greg’s kids; Kyler, Jencer & Felecia and Alan’s son,Derick; great grandkids, Jencer Dale Jr. & Lola Evelyn; and Godparent to Cassie & Dustin Powell

 She was preceded in death by son, David; brothers, Jerry, Roddy, Kenny; and sisters, Lillian, Pearl, and Junebug.
