Florence Joyce (Foss) Larson

Florence Joyce (Foss) Larson passed November 26, 2020.

Florence was born November 13, 1929 to Steve and Grace Foss.  She grew up in rural northern Wisconsin. On the first of October 1960, Florence married her loving husband, Edward J. Larson.  Together they raised two sons, Douglas and Dwight, on their beautiful farm at Ledger.  They remained there until Edward’s death in 2006.

Florence was known to her family and loved ones for generosity and loving care, especially of babies and children.  Between the ages of 10 and 19 following her mother’s death, Florence carried on the household tasks almost single handedly, caring for brothers and sisters at home.  She cooked, cleaned, laundered all while attending grade and high school.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Larson; brothers, William and Arnold Foss; and sisters, Marjorie Kemp and Lorraine Arthur.

Survivors include her two sons, Douglas and Dwight Larson; sisters, Mary Chambers, Jessie Annua, and Grace Auga; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Florence will be greatly missed by all blessed to have known her.

Graveside services were held at Hillside Cemetery in Conrad.
