Frank Delbert Knapp, 84, our loving dad, passed away on October 10, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Memorial services for Frank and Dorothy will be held Saturday, October 21, at 10:00 AM at Shelby United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the church.
Frank was born on February 7, 1933 in Sand Point Idaho to Bernice (Eastman)Knapp and Frank Knapp. He married Dorothy Norenberg on August 9, 1952. Frank served his country in the Korean War between March 1953 to March of 1955.He received an honorable discharge from active duty as a Corporal. Over the years Frank worked on the green chain at Pyramid Mountain Lumber as a lineman for Hill County Electric, he and his wife, Dorothy, owned and operated an ice cream store in Alaska, and the last 15 years he was the maintenance man for Crossroad Housing in Shelby. He loved all outdoor activities especially hunting and fishing. Many people are wearing a piece of his jewelry he made as a silver smith. Frank had a great sense of humor that he passed on to a lot of his family. He had a kind word and a big smile for almost everyone. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Mike) Cullen of Shelby; son, Rocky(Kelli) Knapp of Butte; brother, Chuck(Cathy) of Oregon; sister, Anna Hammon of
Washington; 10 grandchildren, 23 and 1/2 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Norenberg; daughter, Linda Lyle; grandson, Paul (Hank)Hayes; sister, Evelyn Kirk; brother, Vern Knapp
