Garry Croff was born July 30, 1942 in Browning. He grew up on the reservation where he loved to fish, trap, and hunt. He graduated from Browning High School in 1959. Garry joined the Air Force in 1960 and served until 1964.
Garry traveled all over the world for his work. He worked in Madagascar and Saudi Arabia, but many of his jobs sent him throughout Europe and Asia.
After living in Saudi Arabia for seven years Garry returned to the United States in 1986. He resided in Colorado and continued to work in the high tech industry until retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed retirement and all it had to offer. After retiring Garry spent a lot of time fishing in Mexico. He loved his home state and came back to Browning as often as he could.
Garry had beaten cancer once but couldn’t beat it the second time. Garry fought hard but it wasn’t meant to be. He passed away on September 16, 2016. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include by his mother, Mabel Jarrett in Aurora, CO; wife, Carol Croff of Cut Bank; daughter, Kathy (Carlo) Casanova of Lakewood, CO; sons, Mike Croff of Portland, OR and Steve Croff of CutBank; grandchildren, Robert, Cassidy, and Quinn; great grandson, Cash; sisters, Susie and Becky (Tom); brother, Chris; and numerous cousins.
A special thanks to Kuka family for all their generosity. Also a special thanks to Blackfeet Care Center staff for all they did for Garry. They are very special people who were so kind to the families in time of need.
Rosary services will be held Thursday, September 22, at 7:00 PM at Whitted Funeral Chapel Cut Bank. Funeral mass will be Friday, September 23, at 2:00 PM at Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial to follow in Robare Cemetery.
