Virginia (Ginny) Lee Porter passed away in the Marias Medical Center with her husband Jim by her side on October 11, 2018. Ginny was born in Shelby to Walter (Jeff) Jeffers and Martha Trovatten Jeffers on April 28, 1944. She was the oldest of four children. She lived with her family in California then returned to Shelby in her teens and lived with her Aunt and Uncle Ray and Georgia Tomsheck on the farm west of Shelby. She then lived in Shelby where she met and married James Porter December 31, 1970. Ginny was a hard worker and held many various jobs, sometimes 2-3 jobs at the same time. Ginny enjoyed bowling, golf, movies and a good pinochle game.

Ginny is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jim; sister, Linda (Fred) Pade; brothers, Steve Jeffers, and Michael Jeffers (Ginny); niece, Becky Wilson; aunt Georgia and Uncle Ray Tomsheck; cousins, Rick Tomsheck (Nita), Brad Tomsheck (Nancy), Corey Trovatten (Sharron), Todd Trovatten, Tammie Waite (Mike), Julie Ahrens (Steve) and Susan Taylor of Oregon.

Memorial service will be held October 22nd, at 11:00 AM at Shelby United Methodist Church.
