Glen Steven Monroe, 55, a farmer from Valier, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012, at a Great Falls Hospital due to complications from a heart attack. Visitation is Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 27, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Valier with burial to follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.
Survivors include his sisters, Helen (Joe) Suta of Shelby and Evelyn (Don) Mero of McMinnville, OR; brother, Ed Monroe of Valier; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Glen was born at Conrad on August 28, 1957 to Paul & Mabel (King) Monroe. He was raised on the family farm near Valier and graduated from high school there in 1957. He attended Helena VoTech for a time. Glen farmed until 2004 when he went to work for Front Line Ag.
Glen enjoyed fishing and golfing, but mostly he loved socializing with his many, many friends.
