Glenice Irene (Johnson) Milbrandt, 82, of Cut Bank, passed away November 26, 2017 after a lengthy stay at Glacier Care Center.
Glenice was born on November 22, 1935 in rural North Dakota to James “Marvin” and Ruth (Biesterfeld) Johnson. She traveled to Cut Bank by train to visit her then boyfriend, Duane Milbrandt and they were married on April 17, 1953. Together they raised three children: Sally (Russ) Meduna, Wayne (Susan) Milbrandt, and Bruce (Lori) Milbrandt.
Glenice and Duane owned several businesses while residing in Cut Bank, most notably, North Side Foods and D&G Ceramics. She was a long-time member of Women of the Moose and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Glenice enjoyed reading, playing card games, and will always be remembered by family for her delicious cake donuts.
She is survived by her children; eight grandchildren, Andrea Meduna, Colleen Barnes, Tiffany Berg, Jason Milbrandt, Chad Milbrandt, Keaton Milbrandt, Ashley Fish, Dylan Milbrandt; five great grandchildren, Evan Barnes, Breanna Barnes, Olivia Snyder, Emily Snyder, Jack Snyder; and sisters, Pearl Sweet and Geraldine Hopewell.
In addition to her husband of 42 years, she was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Larson, Mary Yackley, Genevieve Gruba; brother, Irwin Johnson; and granddaughter, Brogan Milbrandt.
There will be a private service following cremation. The family requests condolences for Glenice to be sent to Glacier Care Center C/O Bruce Milbrandt, PO Box 1323, Cut Bank, MT 59427.
