Glenn Howard Culleton, age 87, passed away February 14, 2017 at the Pondera Medical Center Extended Care. He truly was a fish out of the water without his wife of 65 years.
Glenn was born to Mark and Inga (Norsby) Culleton on August 26, 1929. This truly turned into a special day as his younger brother Jim and sister Ruth shared the same birthday! He graduated from Valier High School in 1947. He was raised farming and ranching and was a jack of all trades. On October 28th, 1950 he married his sweetheart Nancy Pulver. They traveled for several years as he worked oil rigs then settled in Valier to raise their 3 children. He worked several years at Ponder County Road Department then became a general contractor with his wife’s cousin Vernon Fitzpatrick. After several years and numerous construction projects he set out on his own. He continued with general contracting until the late 1980’s and then became the caretaker of the Valier Cemetery until his retirement due to poor health in the late 1990’s. Health didn’t keep him down as he helped Nancy with her rural mail route until her retirement in 2005.
Glenn was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy, his parents, his brothers Dave and Jim, sisters Kassie and Ruth; In-laws Jim and Maude (Fitzpatrick) Pulver, brothers in law Dave Groshens and Paul Chatlain, sister in law Marion Culleton and special nephew Brandy Pulver.
