Henry Kroliskowski passed away December 25, 2014 at Marias Medical Center in Shelby.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 am on Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Cut Bank. Henry will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank. Henryk Carl Kroliskowski was born in Lodz, Poland on August 20, 1920. He recalls him mom saying everyone thought he was the cutest baby.
At 20 years old Henry was taken by the Germans and put in a concentration camp where he remained for 5 years. His great skill as a young electrician aided in his survival.
Henry met and later married Adele, the love of his life. They moved to Cut Bank, Montana from Salzburg, Austria. Henry worked at Glacier Electric in Cut Bank for 34 years before retiring. Henry and Adele enjoyed spending their leisure time fishing, camping, hunting, golfing and traveling to explore new sights. Henry fished into his late 80’s. They were married 49 years and had a Mexican dog named Poncho.
Henry enjoyed feeding the birds, working in his yard, and building trains and stagecoaches. Henry had a great love of Glacier National Park and often made it to the park more than the tourists. Henry had some great friends that he shared coffee time with and swapped stories or the latest news. He considered new acquaintances friends and took time to share a story or two of his life. Henry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife Adele, two sisters, a brother and his parents.
Henry is survived by two God daughters, Lydia Austin of Big Fork, MT and Christy Georgeos of Poway, CA and friend Laurie Grimm of Cut Bank.
