Ida L. Petroff, 73, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 8, at 2:00 PM at Whitted Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow at the Ringside Ribs in Shelby.
Ida was born August 12, 1943 in Ronan, MT to Arthur G. and Lucy S. (Miller) Hermance. She attended school in Sunburst. Ida cooked at the Sport’s Club in Shelby for 10 years before cooking at the Shelby Hospital where she worked until retiring after 30 years of service. She loved being a Grandma. Ida enjoyed gardening and just being outside. She would spend a lot of time at her house at Woods Bay on Flathead Lake.
Survivors include partner of 50 years, Bill Doughty; daughters, Donna (Dave) Whitt and Diana (Brice) Kluth both of Shelby; Bill’s children, Billiette (Tim) Coolidge of Sunburst and David (Pam) Doughty of Great Falls; brother, Arthur Gerald Hermance of Conrad; Sisters-in-law, Peggy (Don) Hartwell, Marleen (Jim) Blair, and Donna Doughty; grandchildren, Samantha LaSorte, Lisa (Isaac) Aichlmayr, Brian Hasquet, Kara Matoon, Charlie Doughty, and Jackie Doughty; great grandchildren, Giana, Jackson, Alex, Caleb, Hunter, and Mason; and special nephews, Bob, John, and Mike Hermance.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Alan and Dale Hermance.
Memorial can be made to Peace Hospice.
