Iva M. Sherrard

Iva M. Sherrard, 94, of Conrad, passed Friday, May 7, 2021, in Great Falls.

Iva was born August 2, 1926 in Galata to James and Jessie (Daylong) Mondy. She was raised on the farm in Galata. Iva attended school and graduated from Galata High School.  She married John Sherrard and together they farmed until 1984. The couple then moved to Great Falls and in 2000 moved to Conrad. They raised 4 children together.

John and Iva loved to travel and were snowbirds in Arizona during the Montana winters. They enjoyed square dancing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2011; daughter, Sandra  Schaefer; and siblings, Bert and Bud Mondy, Effie Ness, and Hazel Hunt.

Survivors include children, Bob (Tammy) Sherrard of Beaver Dam, AZ, Les (Suzette) Sherrard of Great Falls, and Shelly Tichenor of Surprise, AZ; son-in-law, William Schaefer;  sister-in-law, Eloise Morehead; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 14, at 2pm at Hillside Cemetery. A reception at the Conrad Moose Lodge will follow the service.
