Jack Hurley, 73, passed on May 14, 2020. He was born on June 30, 1946 to Gordon and Jean Hurley. Jack was raised on the family farm East of Conrad with brothers, Bob and Jim, and sister, Glenna. He graduated from Conrad High School in 1964 where he was a track star. Jack went on to attend MSU in Bozeman. His love for flying lead him to join the US Air Force and served from 1966 to 1972. He was proud to be a B-52 crew chief in the Vietnam War. Jack continued to serve in the Air National Guard until honorably discharged in 1980. During that time, he obtained his private pilot license. Upon leaving the service Jack returned to farming near Conrad until he started working in Polson and eventually purchased Flathead Electric. It was there he met the love of his life, Cheri. After selling the business, Jack and Cheri managed the VFW Post #2986 in Polson until retiring and then moved to Valier.
Jack had many interests. He was an avid reader, especially anything history related, attended every rodeo he could, loved playing pool either on a league or at home with friends on his own table. The highlight of Jack’s life was racing with his brother, Bob.
Survivors include the two loves of his life, wife of 25 years, Cheri, and beloved pup, Maya; brothers, Bob (Debbie & Cassie) and Jim (Judy); sister, Glenna (Lynn); his daughter, Tami; and his son, Terry (Kari); and step-son, Jason. Jack was a proud grandpa to Shawn, Jackie, Devin, Beth, Faith, Nicole, Ashley, Jake, several great grandchildren; cousins, nieces, nephews; and extended family of Cheri’s.
