James “Jim” Seymour, a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking member of Cut Bank,
MT passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on March 27, 2025. Born on June 21, 1940, Jim
lived a full and meaningful life leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.
Jim married Lorraine Kline on April 30, 1960 (48 years) and was a proud father to Lorraine,
Elaine, and Michael. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he worked
tirelessly to provide and care for them. Jim was always there for his loved ones, guiding them
with wisdom and compassion.
Jim started in the oil field around 1958 and retired Grizzly Well Service and Seymour Oil and
Gas in 2015. For many years, Jim worked on oil rigs, service rigs, and oil wells, where his skills
and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his community. Jim's determination,
strength, and loyalty to his profession were a testament to his character.
In Sept 2009 Jim met Lisa Tromblee and they were married in December 16, 2016. They lived a
life of traveling to visit family. Lisa’s children Anthony and Delyssia have brought children into
the world and Jim took on the role of being a grandfather to their children. Jim maintained the
traditions of camping and visiting different parts of the state.
Jim is survived by his wife Lisa A. Seymour Cut Bank, MT; his children, Lorraine Duvall Cut
Bank, MT Elaine Seymour (Warren Anderson) Power, MT and Michael (Ronelle) Seymour
Spokane Valley WA. Grandchildren LeeAnn (Jermey) Burke Cut Bank, MT, Nic (Jordan) Mitch
Medical Lake, WA, James (Elizabeth) Duvall Enfield, NH, Andie Redpath (Kevin Francis) Belt,
MT, Matthias and Levi Seymour Spokane Valley WA. Great Grandchildren Samantha Burke
(Kailyr Skunkcap), Damien Burke (Kendra Spotted Bear) Makenna Burke and Kenzie Duvall.
His siblings Norman (Dorothy) Seymour, Nina (John) Waller, sister in law Terrie Tromblee and
brother in law Robert Tromblee, added grandchildren Aiden, Jayse, Ayla and Penelope and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine; parents George and Alice; brothers John, Tom
and Steve; sisters Marge Smitherman, Esther Kennedy and Caroline McLeod.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on April 11, 2pm at Mountain View Baptist in Cut Bank,
interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, and a reception following at Cut Bank Moose
Lodge.
