Janet Lynn Flesch

Janet (Waterman) Flesch, 59, of Shelby, Montana passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, August 14 ^th , at Kalispell Regional Medical Center following a brief, but hard fought battle with cancer.

Janet was born July 27 ^th , 1957, in Helena, Montana to Tom and Judy Waterman, the first of four children. She graduated from Capital High School in Helena in 1975. She married Vince Flesch on June 17 ^th , 1988, at the Flesch Family cabin in Fortine, Montana.

Janet loved taking care of the children at Shelby Elementary School where she worked as secretary for 12 years.

Janet loved to garden, to work in her yard, and take care of her home. Throughout her life she became skilled at stained glass, quilting, sewing and various other arts and crafts leaving the products of her craft for her friends and family to cherish for many years after her passing. She loved watching her sons compete in swimming, basketball, wrestling, and football. She loved golfing with her husband and kids and loved the trips to Arizona she made with Vince over the last six years. Above all else, she loved her family. Her children and her husband were her life, and her legacy will live on in them.

Janet is survived by her husband Vince; her children Luke, Jake, Matthew, and Tommy; her sister and best friend Julie Paulsen (Larry Walters); her brothers Todd (Lisa) Waterman and Tim (Penny) Waterman; her aunt Patricia Kercher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Judy Waterman.

A funeral service will be held at St Luke’s Lutheran Church in Shelby at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19 ^th . In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Kalispell Regional Healthcare Foundation, Cancer Services Fund, 310 Sunnyview Lane, Kalispell, MT 59901.
