Janet Rose Green Silberman, 81, passed on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in Butte.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 7, at 11:00 am at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Shelby.
She was born to Sam and Veda Stokes on September 24, 1942 in Conrad. Janet was raised in Valier and graduated from Valier High School in 1961. She married Gary Green July of 1967. Together they had three boys; Mike, Sam and Doug. Janet worked in several restaurants in Shelby and for several years at Wells Drug.
After Gary’s passing, she married Herb Silberman. They made their home in Shelby and then moved to Butte where they lived at the time of her passing.
Survived by her husband, Herb; sons, Mike (Lisa) Green, Sam (Carleen) Green, and Doug (Abby) Green; grandchildren, Ryan, Hunter, Jared, and Jacquie (Jonnie); siblings, Fay (Judy) Stokes, Jack (Jeanne) Stokes, Bill Stokes, Alan (Julie) Stokes, and Jewel (Bill) Moritz; many nephews, nieces, extended family members, and in-laws.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gary; parents, Sam and Veda; step grandson, Kyle; brother, Sammy; and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Bernie.
