Jeanette George

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeanette B. George, 82, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Mexico and Cut Bank, MT, at her home in Ajijic, Mexico on July 3, 2023.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband Lyle George.

Born in Fairfield, MT, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Esther Hitchcock.

Jeanette attended schools in Fairfield, MT and after being married for 10 years,  she went back to regular high school and got her diploma. Then in her 50's she decided to go to college and graduated with her all her grandchildren in the audience.

She worked for several years for the Pioneer Press and as the Glacier County Clerk of Court in Cut Bank, MT. She also did land work for the oil companies.

She married the love of her life Lyle George in 1956.

After his retirement, they lived in Marion, MT. They spent many winters in Chapala, Mexico. She remained there after Lyle's passing.

Jeanette did charity work in Mexico as well as sponsoring many students at local universities and culinary schools in Mexico.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Raynor, and her husband, Steve of Aiken, South Carolina; a son, Thomas George, and his fiancé, Tari, of Waterboro, ME; 11 grandchildren, Raleigh, Jon, Jeanette, Esther, Lyle, Mike, Luke, Virginia, Danny Heather, and Hillary; and 13 great-grandchildren, Kevin Aaron, Araya, Brendon, Spencer, Izzy, Kate, Clara, Logan, Olivia, Julian, Keanna and Thea.

She is also survived by her Brothers Ray of Seattle, Dennis(Char) of Prescott, AZ, and Sister Verna, of Havre, MT. She is predeceased by her brothers, Jack, Glen, and Gene Hitchcock.

She was surrounded by the love of her boyfriend Manual of Ajijic, Mexico, and a special friend, Naty Martinez.

A graveside service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank, MT on August 26, 2023, at 10 AM.
