Jerry B. Kelleher, 79, a lifelong Sweet Grass area farmer, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013, at the Marias Care Center. Memorial mass will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 14, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Sunburst. Burial with military honors will follow in the Sunburst Cemetery.
Jerry was born February 8, 1934 on the family farm near Sweet Grass to Maurice & Ethel (Brown) Kelleher. After graduating from high school he served with the US Army. He returned home where he farmed his entire life.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and enjoyed surveying the crops from his 4-wheeler . He enjoyed visiting with friends as well as going for drives through the countryside.
Jerry is survived by a sister, Marion (Don) Gibson of Mt. Vernon WA; nieces, Connie (Terry) Alme of Oilmont, Maria (Dean) Moldenhauer of Mt. Vernon WA, Donna (Phil) Teas of Mandeville LA, Coleen (Paul) Fredericks of Kenmore WA; nephew, Chuck (Teresa) Kelleher of Shelby; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Maurice (Ike) and Charles Kelleher.
