Joseph Edward Campros was born in Chester on December 20, 1964, the youngest of ten children. He graduated from Chester High School in 1982 and entered the United States Navy for four years. When he was discharged Joe took up the life of a landscaper and a window dresser in Florida. Nothing brought him more pleasure than making something beautiful, whether gardens, displays, or food for others to enjoy. Joe prided himself on being a gourmet cook and created many wonderful meals for himself and others. The hurricanes drove him out of Florida, and he returned to Chester to care for his parents from 2011 until Joe’s death on August 2, 2020 from cancer. Joe loved life and was very family oriented. When family came to visit, he was proud to show off his cotton candy making and virtual reality skills so he could thrill his nieces and nephews on the virtual roller coaster ride.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Sletten Cancer Institute and Benefis Peace Hospice for their care of Joe.
Joe is preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne; two brothers, Steven and Kenneth; a niece, Bridget Seidlitz, and nephew, Richard Seidlitz; and his father, Andrew. He is survived by two brothers and four sisters, Warren Campros (Lori) of Troy, Diane Abrahamson (John) of Shelby, George Campros of Great Falls, Janine Fox of Shelby, Lana Juden (Chuck) of Great Falls, and Marla Duffin (Mark) of Missoula.
