Joseph A Wurz

February 19, 1937 — July 17, 2013

Joseph A Wurz, 76, retired gardener, teacher and minister from Rimrock Colony passed away on July 17, 2013 from natural causes.  Services will be Saturday, July 20 at 12 Noon at the colony with burial to follow in the Rimrock Colony Cemetery.

He was born February 19, 1937 to Andrew and Susie (Hofer) Wurz at Sunnysite Colony near Warner, Alberta.  He later moved to Hillside Colony at Sweet Grass.  Joseph and Kathrina Entz were married November 12, 1961.  He moved to Rimrock Colony on May 20, 1963.

Joseph was the colony gardener, German school teacher for 35 years and the colony minister for 30 years.

Joe and Katie had no children but he was loved and well taken care of by sisters-in-law, Susie and Lydia Hofer of Rimrock Colony and their children that he dearly loved: Philip, George, Walter, David, Mark, Joe and Albert.  And those who did the most for him, Katie, Susanna and Laura.

The good Lord whom he always trusted took him out of our hands so He can take better care of him.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathrina; brothers, John of Eagle Creek Colony, Peter of Hillside Colony, and Paul of Horizon Colony.  He is predeceased by four brothers and three sisters all of whom he dearly loved.

He will be greatly missed.
