June Delores (Loomies) Bogie, 82 years old, of Cut Bank, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 11, 2015.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cut Bank. June will be interred at Crown Hill Cemetery also in Cut Bank. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Special Olympics in Monica Ledbetter’s name at 113 6 th Ave SE, Cut Bank, MT 59427, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
June was born June 10, 1933 in Shelby, MT to Betsy and Elliott Loomis. She grew up in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1951. It was during her senior year of school that she met the man of her dreams, Robert (Bob) Bogie, from Lewistown, Montana. Upon graduation June joined Bob in San Diego, California, where he was stationed in the Navy, and they were married. While living in California, Patricia, the first of their four daughters, was born.
In 1954, after Bob’s discharge from the Navy, they returned to Shelby, MT. June went to work at the telephone company and Bob went to work for Union Oil Refinery, out of Cut Bank. During this time their daughters, Michaela, Danette and Rhonda joined the family. Later on the family moved to Cut Bank to be close to Bob’s job.
June went back to work after the “girls” were all in school. She was employed at one time at Maxies Bakery, Gambles, CNS Mart variety store, and JC Penney’s Co.
June was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob (2010); her parents, Betty and Al Loomis; sister and brother in law Irene and Norman Sonju; in-laws Grace and Bill Bogie; brother in-law Bill Bogie; granddaughter Brittany Embody; niece Jolie Moss; nephews Rodney Sonju and Mark Calloway; and large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
June is survived by her daughters Patricia (Michael) Stanley, Michaela (Gene) Freed, Danette (David) Momberg, and Rhonda (Hank Weaver) Ledbetter; special forever son Brian Ledbetter; sister Alene (Greg) Moss of Shelby, MT; sister-in-law Jean Bogie of Great Falls; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Our mother was a kind and gracious women with a gentleness in her touch. She was the best of everything all rolled into one. We all love and miss her very much.
