Kalman A Suta, 91, a retired farmer from Shelby, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the Pondera Medical Center from cancer. The visitation will be Monday, April 18, from 5-9:00 pm at the Whitted Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are set for 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20, at St Luke’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
Kalman was born November 9, 1919 at Sweet Grass to Alexander and Theresa (Boysza) Suta. He attended school through the 8th grade. Kalman and Mabel Bunyak were married on May 10, 1951 in Sunburst and farmed throughout their married life retiring to Shelby in 1994.
He enjoyed working with flowers, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his children, Joe (Helen) Suta of Shelby, Theresa (Leonard) LaHaye of Ravalli, twins Donna Hill of Conrad and Donald Suta of Great Falls, Mike (Pam) Suta of Cut Bank and Carl (Deanna) Suta of Conrad, as well as eleven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mabel, three brothers and two infant grand-daughters
